Goldfish tank w/brown algae

I have a 30 gallon goldfish (shubunkins and sarassas) tank with a marineland 350 filter. Not too long before I got the marineland filter I had a whisper filter (terrible!) and got an algae bloom after replacing the filter media and accidentally losing some of the bacteria on the bio scrubbers. Now there is brown algae spreading across the tank. It's on the plants, walls, stones, etc....

I belong to a MSN Pond Group that is looking for a home.

MSN is shutting down all of their groups in January of next year.

So we are looking at different sites such as Yuku.

I was wondering if sites are easy to set up under Yuku and if there are any problems with them?

Large Frog Eating Fish

I have a very large frog that is eating my goldfish. It showed up a few months ago and each time I try to sneak up on it, the darn thing jumps in the water and hides somewhere under the water. I'm sure there must be a void in the rocks that line the pond where it swims into and then hides. Anyway, how can I get rid of this thing? Fry's Growing Fast

I have been having some great weather this year and all my fry are getting big in the ponds. The big pond is covered in cherry shrimps, All the rocks look Blood Red with so many eat off them at one time and the fry are trying their best to catch a few. Just dropped in off of Lashers Profile.

I have a Lion head fancy Goldfish. He/she we are unsure of the sex is dubed Freckles by the tots.

We've had the fish for well over a few months and seems to be doing splendid in our new home. I have a question though at the petsmart we got him at they had an Orange slice in the tank. The lad that scoped out our choice couldn't explain why their was such a thing in the tank.

Is this a normal thing for Goldfish or...

Hello All
Thanks for the Welcome Goldie. I'm new here and have had ponds most of my life. I have had koi and goldfish, I now I just have the goldfish as you can have a lot more shapes and colors in the pond and I just love how sweet they are. I have two ponds at this time one is five feet deep 12 long and 6 feet wide and the other is a little one from home depot 5' x 5' with three smaller one's off of it to make a little waterfall. I'll get some picures of them soon...
