I have been having some great weather this year and all my fry are getting big in the ponds. The big pond is covered in cherry shrimps, All the rocks look
Blood Red with so many eat off them at one time and the fry are trying their best to catch a few. Enjoy your week and I'll see if I can get some pictures

Hi Dennis, I've never heard of cherry shrimp. They sure are interesting little creatures. Have you always had them in your pond? Do they keep the pond free of algae?

I have had cherry shrimp in the ponds for the last few years and they do cut back on the algae along with the snails and pond plants I have growing. They are cool just to sit back and watch at night as they do their work. I have a ton of them and if you like I would be happy to send you some for postage. Enjoy Dennis |

Thanks for the offer Dennis, but the cherry shrimp would not survive the winter here in N.Y. All of my goldfish will be brought indoors to live in their
aquariums until the spring.
When you get a chance, I would love to see photos of the pond.
